Martin Buchheit – Handball Performance Expert, Creator of the 30/15 Intermittent Fitness Test
In addition to his extensive experience in sports science, Martin has developed several groundbreaking training tools, including the 30/15 Intermittent Fitness Test, which is widely used in handball and other sports to program high-intensity training and assess aerobic capacity. He also created the 5-5 running test, used to monitor training status through heart rate variability. Martin has worked with elite teams and academies, applying GPS-based match analysis and talent identification techniques to optimize player performance.
As the High-Performance Lead at Aspetar, and having previously held key roles at PSG, Olympique Lyonnais, Lille OSC, KitmanLabs, and Aspire Academy, Martin continues to bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and practical application in elite sports. His expertise has been featured in over 250 scientific papers, and he has authored two best-selling books.

Ambros Martin: Development of a National team player, from youth to senior
During his playing career, he played for clubs such as SDC San Antonio, with whom he won the EHF Champions League in 2001.
After transitioning to coaching, Martín led several teams to significant success. With Győri Audi ETO KC, he won the EHF Champions League four times (2013, 2014, 2017, 2018) and was repeatedly named Coach of the Year in the Women’s EHF Champions League. He also coached the national teams of Romania and Russia.
